PARIS PHOTO DIARY: DAY ONE

The view from our room
My sister and I's three day venture to Paris is unfortunately over - however, it felt like we were there for far longer which of course, is a perfect feeling! Paris truly is the most beautiful city. It's full of elegance, sophistication and a certain je ne sais quoi that us foreigners have been trying to unveil for years. Perhaps it's the chic French men and women whizzing on their vespa's on their way to work, or even the perfect imperfections. What I love most about Parisians is their 'pleasure in doing nothing' concept. They sit outside local cafés after work until late at night over numerous cigarettes and glasses of wine. It's a lifestyle I envy for sure.

After waking up at 4:30 and taking the Eurostar to Paris, our first day began with a good mooch around Montmartre - my favourite part of Paris. We then went to Saint-Germain-des-Pres to buy French skincare goodies in City Pharma, walked around Le Bon Marché and gasped at the stunning view from Tour Montparnasse. A busy day = a good night sleep!

We packed so much into the three days so these photo diaries will be rather lengthy - but hey, nobody can be bored over hundreds of pictures of Paris!

Déjeuner!
Saint Germain Des Pres
The beautiful department store, Le Bon Marché - you MUST go here if you love Parisian fashion and beauty!
The shoe department...yes, really.

Croque Madams for dinner in Montparnasse
Up the Tour Montparnasse - the best view of Paris - far better than that from the Eiffel Tower

The exquisite view from the tower was truly breathtaking

After long day of sightseeing and shopping, we relaxed in our hotel - still shaking with excitement of our arrival in Paris.

Above is the view from our hotel room. For me, this embodies everything about the Parisian lifestyle. A chic woman hanging from her bedroom window, nonchalantly smoking a cigarette. The pleasure of doing nothing. What a babe.

Bon nuit Paris!

Our first day in Paris was truly magnificent.

The next Paris photo diary will be up Tuesday! Au revoir!
