Fashion Design Course Book

Yes, the title is 'Course Book' but even though I'm not in college, I still read it! Its got tons and tons of advice on how to become an amazing designer and stay one. From designing garments to the history of Chanel and Dior. From cohesion, adverts and colours to macro and micro. Its all here and I adore this book.

These garment construction pictures are great for when your sketching...

There's loads of assignments for you to do aswell...

I love these interviews, they really dig deep into the industry and they give tips and advice on how to survive in the fashion world!

California Queen

If you’re trying to nail the perfect wardrobe for kicking back in the sun in style then channel the laid-back and undeniably cool style of the California girl. I’m talking that Isabel Marant-meets-Kate Bosworth vibe, all perfectly tousled hair, a hint of hippy vibe and lashings of chunky gold and silver jewellery. I’ve tracked down the most summer-ready, L.A. luxe piece to see you through the coming months...

Wishing For Sunshine...

If you’ve decided where to head for your summer break then it’s time to get down to business and plan your holiday wardrobe. From blustery walks on Cornish beaches to glamorous dinners in St Tropez. Remember though keep every outfit really, really simple as it adds to the relax summer look.

On the field...

Distressed, vintage and Spring - Like daises but garment form! From cute petite gingham dresses to woolen blazers and biker boots. Pull & Bear's S/S 2010 (I'm a little late...) 'On The Field Range' completely reminds me of my ultimate favourite shop... JACK WILLS. Different styles mixed in one big heap of Spring wear. Topshop also have some beautiful garments that can just about go into this category too.

Beauty Special: How To Really Tame Frizz...

Tigi Superstar Thickening Spray - This thickens those lightweight frizzy strands of hair and tames them for the whole day. Its a serum, mousse and heat protector (... and thickening spray!) all in one. Smells like rasberries too!

Toni&Guy Tame-It-Serum - This truly is the best thing I've ever used on my hair! Its £8.95 but so worth it! My hair is naturally prone to frizz (I have frizzy curly hair.. Grrr!) so this helps soften, smooth, tame frizz and create a superb shine that will last all day. Smooth it on damp or dry hair (dry hair works better).

Aussie Dual Personality Heat Protection Spray - Any heat protection spray will do but this is the best. It really helps if you straighten your hair alot and also it prevents split ends and damage. Whip it on before you dry your hair.
