These pictures may of been taken a little while ago (hence why my hair is not blonde!), but I've been sporting this look rather a lot lately. With spring officially in full swing here in London, the corals, peaches and orangey tones have been ubiquitous on my lips and cheeks. There's just something so fresh, uplifting and warming about these summery shades - perhaps even more so against pale skin that is longing for some summer sun. But hey - not long! For the meantime, we can kid ourselves that summer is virtually tomorrow by continuously sporting bright, coral colours and subtle swathes of bronzer.
During London Fashion Week last month, my friend and I popped in to Soho Grind for a quick coffee, before diving in to the hub of fashion. The 'Grind' chain is cropping up all over London, with their latest addition in Covent Garden creating quite the buzz amongst the coffee-lover crowd. I may have only tried their Soho version, however, since that moment I've been dying to every single one of the others ever since...
For my 18th birthday, my wonderful mum treated me to balayage at Radio Hair Salon in Shoreditch! It's something I've always wanted done; to get pampered, relax and to come away with beautiful hair that may just reduce me to tears! And that's exactly what the incredible technician Sarah at Radio gave me. I'm unbelievably thrilled with the finished look, but first let's jump right to the start of the day...
You may or may not of noticed, but I've been a little absent over on here for the past few days, and that's because I've been a little crazy at celebrating my 18th birthday! For the first of the celebrations, my lovely family took me to Penny Hill Park Hotel & Spa in Surrey for afternoon tea (which we previously went to in this blog post) on a gorgeous, sunny Thursday.
After months of rigorous work on my UCAS application, incessant checking for email updates, and a few too many tears - I was finally blessed with the news last week that I got in to London College of Fashion! I have always dreamt of attending this university. It's a place filled with so many inspiring creatives, bustling art students and endless future career opportunities.
As part of my 18th birthday celebrations next week (woo!), my family are ever so kindly treating me to have my hair balyaged in Radio Salon in Shoreditch. I absolutely can't wait - it's something I've always wanted done! So, for a little while I've been curating a secret Pinterest board of snaps I wish to show the stylist of what colour I have in mind, and today I've decided to share these with you all!
If there's one thing you need when you're a blogger, is a good source of inspiration. I usually seek out my favourite magazines, scour Pinterest or scroll endlessly through my go-to blogs - but now, there's a new addition to the list. After spontaneously meeting one of the lovely ladies who works in the team during London Fashion Week, I discovered the incredible app Vernez. Their revolutionary app provides super fun and user- friendly tools to collage photos with garments in order to make magazine-worthy graphics, which is just perfect for bloggers and creatives. So when Vernez got in touch with me later on, I was thrilled and honored to be part of a collaboration as I seriously cannot stop using this app!
I'm always in search of new and exciting ways to update my blog - to keep both you and I as engaged and happy as possible! A little while ago my blog underwent a few little changes such as a new header, new profile photo and other general updates and I still definitely feel so much more excited to blog than before. If you are looking to increase your presence in the blogging community and turn your blog into something that has more of an impact, here are the essential updates that will instantly improve your blog.
