Tuesday Ten: Top Places to Shop in London


London has several very distinct shopping streets. It's is renowned for it's amazing high-street, department stores (Selfridges!) and luxury designers. From luxury goods in Mayfair to quirky finds in Covent Garden. Here are my (and probably most people's) top ten places to shop in London...Click below to read more!



  1. Oxford Street - The heart of London shopping. Get ready to be pushed about, shoved and nudged! Oxford Street has more than 300 shops, designer outlets and landmark stores. And we all know the amazing department store, Selfridges! Also Debenhams and John Lewis. Home to All Saints, Topshop and Urban Outfitters. Nearest Tube: Oxford Circus
  2. Notting Hill - This street offers an array of small unique vintage clothing, rare antiques, quirky gifts, books and organic food. Of course, if you are going to visit Notting Hill, don't forget the famous Portobello Road Market with lots of stalls.There's also boho boutiques, hip cafes and art galleries. Nearest Tube: Notting Hill Gate or Westbourne Park.
  3. Regent and Jermyn Street - Elegant shopping street. Mid-priced fashion stores alongside very famous shops like Hamley's, Liberty and Apple Store. Jermyn Street is know for men's clothing but is defiantly worth seeing. Nearest Tube: Piccadilly Circus
  4. Westfield White City - Where I basically live and die! It's a great place to shop, eat and to meet and is the largest shopping center in Europe. House of Fraser, Debenhams, Next, Marks & Spencer, and 275 luxury premium and high street retailers. Louis Vuitton, Topshop, Zara, Prada, Jimmy Choo, American Apparel, Ted Baker as well as a gym, cinema, several bars and restaurants. Nearest Tube: White City or Shepherd's Bush.
  5. Savile Row - Known for its British tailoring, Savile Row is a must-see destination. With the fantastic Abercrombie & Fitch store on it's corner it's one of the most understated yet busy streets in London. Nearest Tube: Bond Street
  6. Bond Street and Mayfair: On a celeb hunt? This is the place! Whether you've got money to burn or just simply want to window shop, Bond Street and Mayfair are the ideal place. Home to big names like Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Cartier, Tiffany & Co etc. Nearest Tube: Bond Street
  7. Carnaby Street: I went here yesterday! A very quirky, fun and exciting place to shop. If you like urban, quirky and street style this a good place to shop with stores like Monki, Diesel, Vans etc. Nearest Tube: Piccadilly Circus 
  8.  Covent Garden:  Whether you want hip fashion, unique gifts, rare sweets or one-off handmade jewellery, Covent Garden is a great place to explore. You can stock up on the latest urban street wear, cool cosmetics and shoes on Neal Street, check out imaginative arts and crafts at Covent Garden Market or just window shop around the stores.   9. King's Road: An eclectic mix of trendy boutiques, unique labels  designer shops and high-street staples, alongside a vast array of cafes and eateries. Cath Kidston and Vivienne Westwood to name a few. Nearest Tube: Sloane Square
  10. Knightsbridge:  Visitors from around the world flock to Knightsbridge andBrompton Road to visit the illustrious shops and department stores. This is the place to go if you're looking for prestigious brands and up-to-the-minute trends from the world's fashion elite. Best known for Harrods and Harvey Nichols, you'll also find a whole host of big-name fashion designers on Sloane Street. Showing Knightsbridge caters to all tastes, there's a big branch of Topshop opposite Harrods! Nearest Tube: Knightsbridge.
